Sacno
Overview
Sacno is a free, easy-to-use application designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of social or professional background, education level, or literacy ability. With an audio feature available on all pages, the app allows users to maintain complete anonymity while reaching out for help or expressing themselves freely. Sacno promotes three key principles: anonymity, citizen action, and free expression, empowering individuals to break the silence, seek assistance, and take action in times of need.
What We Have Done
To bring Sacno to life, we:
1. Enabled Anonymity: Developed a feature where users can engage with the app using only a pseudonym, age, and location, without revealing their identity, allowing them to ask for help anonymously.
2. Integrated Audio Functionality: Made the app accessible to users who may not be able to read or write by including audio features on every page, ensuring inclusivity for all.
3. Implemented Offline Emergency Tools: Added a tool section that provides offline access to key emergency contact numbers, allowing users to seek help even without an internet connection.
4. Facilitated Free Expression: Created a platform where users can speak openly about their experiences without fear of judgment, providing a safe space for victims and those in need of support.
5. Focused on Citizen Action: Designed the app to encourage users to take responsible action, whether reporting incidents, seeking help, or offering support to others.
6. Streamlined Resource Access: Provided easy access to local and national resources for victims and supporters, helping them connect with emergency services, counseling platforms, and preventive measures.
